Hurricane Impact Glass

Florida building codes now specify and require one of three systems when installing or replacing complete door units into houses located within the 120-MPH winds zone (this is an area roughly east of US 1 and/or A1A).

These options are:

  • State approved Hurricane shutters
  • Plywood cut and screwed over the door opening
  • Hurricane impact glass

Dream Doors™ is happy to provide the best solution by offering Hurricane impact glass in our door units.

Plywood cut and screwed over the door opening is not very practical and must be stored until needed.

Hurricane shutters are unsightly and expensive, outstripping the additional cost of hurricane impact glass.

We invite you to our convenient showroom to see our vast line of Hurricane impact glass today!

Dream Doors Testimonials

We love our Double French doors made by Dream Doors. They were able to place blinds inside the doors, so there is no maintenance. The blinds give us complete privacy, but they can also be raised with a simple lever to give us an unobstructed view of the backyard. The doors look great, and they were installed within a couple of hours. The main thing that I love about these doors is not even the way they look, although they are a nice as anything on the market. What i like best is that they are completely secure. A sliding glass door can be broken, but the glass in these doors is resistant to breaking. They are super secure. I would recommend Dream Doors to anyone who wants a beautiful, low maintenance, and secure door!
